Tickets: $40 per person online or at the CUB; $50 at the door.

 

Admission to the event includes a gourmet buffet catered by the School of Hospitality Business Management, an exciting silent auction, 50/50 raffle, live music, a commemorative wineglass, and ten tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets will be available for purchase at the event.

Transportation will be available to and from flag lane (the corner of Colorado and Stadium) and the SEL Event Center. Pick-up times begin at 4:30 p.m. and end at 10:30 p.m.

Cabaret is the premier social and fundraising event in Pullman, Washington. This annual dinner, dance and auction provides more than 30 percent of the yearly operating budget for the Pullman Chamber of Commerce, and is sponsored in part by Washington State University and Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc.. It is because of support from businesses and individuals in the Pullman and surrounding areas that the Chamber can continue to achieve the mission statement, "To make Pullman a better place to live, work and do business."

A team from the Northwest including Dr. Stephen Hall, and Nancy Gregory, ARNP, nurses from Pullman Regional Hospital and Gritman Medical Center, pharmacists form WSU College of Pharmacy and many other community members will be taking medical supplies, socks and shoes to the mountain people of Ecuador. This will be our 7th trip since 2003.

Proceeds will benefit the Ecuador Medical Mission.

Whitman County Humane Society's 5th Annual Fur Ball and Yappy Hour
 

WCHS 5th Annual Fur Ball and Yappy Hour - Saturday, January 28, 2012Our invited speaker is Dr. Marc Bekoff, a former professor of ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Dr. Bekoff will speak about the emotional lives of animals. His books include "Animals Matter," "The Emotional Lives of Animals," and "Wild Justice," just to name a few. Funds will help support Animal Haven, which is a facility that will provide transitional living space for as many as 50 dogs and 50 cats, space for adoption counseling, humane education, obedience and safety training, and a library. AnimalHaven will also incorporate a surgery suite for on-site spay/neuter surgeries for shelter animals in cooperation with the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine.

Enjoy a night of entertainment and fun as Seattle's premier dueling piano show, Chopstix, will be back with their Vegas-style entertainment. The event begins at 5 p.m. with a reception and silent auction; auction items include a Walla Walla wine tour, a Framed 2011 Lentil Festival poster, gift baskets from local merchants, Wine-By-Cougars membership, and more.  The WSU Men’s Basketball team will serve as greeters during the pre-dinner reception.
